New Dead Poems

Cold glances and judgmental stances.
Poker face, stone face, call it whatever, display
no emotions. Too many see only the tangible substances;
the size of one's bank account, the importance of their job,
how attractive they and others are. The unsuccessful
and ill-favored looking with small wallets lose confidence
and shield our emotions. The almighty dollar dictates the women
we can and cannot talk to, it shrouds our confidence and self worth,
yet in the end every ones talents and beauty
fade to nothing.

Few people like me, most hate or think their better and
smarter then me. I see it their eyes, that look of contempt and
judgment. I used to smile a lot more, but the majority of unfriendly
souls have chanced my face to stone. It's way too awkward when
your smiling face is met with a cold stare, and that happens to me a lot,
hence the stone face most of the time. Ironically it's the haters who
keep me alive, those shallow self center souls who'd relish in my suicide
will have to go on judging for no reason, and be contemptuous without a cause.
The awesome few who enjoy my presence can't see the emptiness in
my heart or the full belly of laughter buried in seriousness.
Keep moving, keep playing, keep dreaming. (Pia)
