Twenty-One Twelve's Rock 'N' Roll Little Girls, Script Schurr Forschurr...

Kayla, too young for first grade can play the guitar like no one else in the world. Her counterparts, the other four little girls in the band are equally as fantastic as her on their musical instruments of dominance.

These five amazing musicians, little girls and their ability to write, sing and perform music brilliantly have made all the Gods, past and present question their own abilities and powers.

My blog site is very unfriendly to script formatting, I could not even use the tab key to properly format the screen play structure.

Script quick notes for those who don't know script structure;

A dose of Script Schurr:

    EXT    GRAVEL ROAD    DAY

In the dark recesses of shrubbery and well foliaged trees on each side of the narrow gravel road is the        path leading to 2112 Oracle Way, located in a small suburban town somewhere in Hawaii. It's the year        2112.

The government is now known as The Roolurs. Rock 'N' Roll music, although not outlawed is                    extremely regulated and not allowed to be heard by anyone under the age of 25. Violators have been put     in prison for life, even legally executed by the Roolurs.

Mark Schurr is driving a well kept 70s van down the gravel road. The southern sun is in the beginning        of it's decent to the other side of the world. The hue of the vast sun cascades across the seemingly                endless branches of the trees and bushes emitting a wondrous sight of shadows and light amidst the path     of the nearby brook.
                                                                      KAYLA
                                                        (to Mark)
Can we take off our seat belts now?

                                                                           MARK
                                                        (driving)
                                                     Sure, go ahead.

Kayla, 5-years-old and four other little girls who are three to 5-years-old take off their seat belts and        within seconds, Kayla brandishes an acoustic guitar and immediate strums away. Her tune is very                catchy, especially when the other three girls start singing. For any aged musicians, Kayla and her four        band mates are arguably the best rock 'n' roll band in the universe.

    INT    BASEMENT    DAY

Mark's basement is cluttered with musical and photography paraphernalia, complete with all the                instruments and equipment needed for a small rock 'n' band to perform and make quality videos, both        audibly and visually.

Although cluttered, the basement is neatly organized. Various pictures of Laurel and Hardy, a sea of            Rush photos and a unique array of vinyl album covers dwell on the walls along with some Power Puff        Girls and Dora posters, courtesy of Kayla, Yalin, Ashley, Lauren and Temickra.
                                                                             MARK
                                                (looking up from his lap)
I've got a few more songs I need to finish the lyrics for,
so you all just go ahead and start practicing. I'll really
be glad when you girls are old enough to read and write.
If you want to record any of the music your doing, the
sound system is all connected and ready to go.
                                                  (Pointing left)
The tripod to the video camera is over there.
                                                    (very serious)
If you girls want to stop playing music and want me
to destroy all the songs I've recorded so far, I'm OK
with that, after all, I'm a felon on the run, and if the Roolurs                                                                           knew we were making and documenting rock 'n' roll music, I'd
be executed for sure, and all you girls will have all your musical                                                                     gear taken away and sent to live with extreme conservatives,                                                                         maybe even Christian zealots until your 18-years-old and that's                                                                       the best case scenario. The Roolurs may even have you girls                                                                           killed for playing rock 'n' roll music.

The whole time Mark was talking, Ashley was writing music literally in thin air. She is using a                    hologram device and moving musical notes meticulously in a concentrated order. When Mark is done        talking, she taps the hologram device once which is harbored on her lap. The musical notes are no            longer in the air and saved into the hologram device.

Temickra is watching footage of some of their music already recorded with her head phones on.
                                                                                ASHLEY
                                                                     (to Mark)
That's right, we could all be killed because of you.
You know what, I don't care, because If we were forced
to stop playing music forever, what would be the point in                                                                                living, so thank you Mark for letting us play music.

                                                                            YALIN
If I could live forever and was not allowed or able to play
or write music I'd want to be dead.

    OC

Temickra is laughing hysterically. Her laughter is extremely loud which causes Mark and the rest of the     girls to look toward her.
Temickra is wearing headphones and watching a video of herself and the rest of the girls playing music.     She pauses the video and turns toward Mark and her band chums.
                                                                               TEMICKRA
(takes off headphone; puts them down)
                                                               (laughing voice)
Look at Kayla's face while she's playing leads
on the song I wrote, "Acquired Freedom."

Mark, Kayla, Ashley, and Yalin look at the paused TV screen of Kayla's face and laugh out loud.
                                                                                KAYLA
                                                                (defensive)
David Gilmour at his best day couldn't play that
lead without a whammy bar, nor anyone else
for that matter, I had to really concentrate to hit those
                                                                     notes.

Suddenly a loud knock is heard by Mark and the girls. Mark and the girls look toward the noise of the        knock with the shear concern on their faces.
                                                                            MARK
                                                                  (Scared and demanding)
I'll go upstairs and answer the door. Go to the hiding
                                                                     spot now!

Another loud knock is heard by Mark and the girls.

    OC

The front door is smashed open and footsteps race across the basement ceiling.

The basement door at the top of the stairs opens, It's several heavily armed Roolurs.

Rush 'N' Roll; A Rare Hope For Today's Mainstream Music

Neil Peart's lyrics, in the 20 plus minute Rush Song "2112", is the year real music and the acceptance and expression of individuality are finally embraced which Peart learned from Ayn Rand's 1943 novel "The Fountainhead."

The vast control of government, lack of individuality and the demise of mainstream music is very prevalent in today's society and these are just some of the many things that are wrong with the world today. None the less, we still feed the machine of government control by shopping for things we don't need and soon find outdated; myself included. The Progressive rock 'n' roll band Rush points out all these facts with much more exquisite eloquence.

What if every neighbor in every neighborhood (community) all joined forces and grew their own food, and actually shared with one another? Certain neighbors could grow fruit, others vegetables, while others breed just enough animals for grazing the lands and feeding others, so the world would be a much better place to live in. What if solar power completely ended the need for monthly electrical bills for the rest of our days? What if the sun, which is proven it can do, completely ended the need for oil and coal and powered all vehicles, phones and everything else electrical?

'...just one more whose searching for a world that ought to be.' (Neil Peart, drummer, lyricist for Rush from their song "Circumstances," on their album / CD "Hemispheres" released in 1978.)

What if world leaders eliminated the 50 or so wars going on in the world, and started channeling billions of dollars into medical, dental, housing and food for the everyone? Imagine a place in which world leaders implemented a free world wide educational system instead of their (politicians) spending on extravagant travel, alcohol, drugs and prostitutes.

'And the men who hold high places must be the ones who start, to mold a new reality. (Peter Talbot, his words for the 1977 Rush song, "Closer to the Heart.")

Forty years ago Rush released their first album in 1974, simply titled "Rush." By 1976, they had solidified themselves as an iconic progressive rock 'n' roll group whose uniqueness is unmatched by any other rock 'n' roll trio in modern music. Many 70s heralded bands are gone or reduced to playing in venues seating hundreds instead of thousands or they do the occasional reunion tour every 10 years or so. Rush are still regulars in the huge venues and I've personally seen them do a three hour set performing their most popular song "Tom Sawyer" first. The repertoire of songs they can start or encore with is virtually limitless unlike any other rock band in the universe.

"Rush is one of those bands that has a deep reservoir of rocket sauce. A lot of bands only got so much in the bottle, they sometimes use it up all in one song. These guys (Rush) were the real deal. Their bottle was so big and so filled to the brim, they were shaking it literally for decades and still there was sauce coming out!" Jack Black said. (From the movie "Rush Beyond the Lighted Stage.")

The 1976 Rush song "2112," (first song on the vinyl "2112") in simple terms is about the quest for true freedom and the right to be an individual. Based on Rand's novel "The Fountainhead," music is stripped from the people by the government. Peart's change on Rand's book was the musical aspect. Rand did not mention the taking away of music in "The Fountainhead," but when "The Fountainhead," was released in the 40s, music, even mainstream tunes were real. Peart used Rand's theme of stripped individuality, the ultimate rule of government and weaved his own wisdom with Rand's.

Neil Peart, their lyricist and drummer ignited my passion for the written word and desire to read books. Every Rush release with the exception of their first two, "Rush" and "Fly by Night" has the lyrics to every song. Listening to Rush without knowing the words is like the internet without high speed.

Soon after I got out of the Army in 1987, Steve Joiner, my friend also to this very day was extremely vehement that I put on his head phones which were very high quality and read the lyric sheet while listening to Rush. I complied with his pushy insistence and have been hooked on Rush ever since. Neil Peart can write about any subject and cover extreme points about them is just a few words:

Teen pregnancy / unwanted ones, aides and other sexually transmitted diseases: 'The heat of the moment, the curse of the young.' ("Counter Parts" CD, 1993, lyrics by Peart)

Vanity, shallowness and dating the wrong ones: 'Boys and girls together, mistake conceit for pride, boys and girls together, let's paint the mirror black.' ("Presto" CD 1989)

The evils and greediness government: 'So much poison in power, the principles get left out.' ("Power Windows" CD 1985; Peart)

Going from young to old; 'Once we loved the flowers, now we ask the price of the land... my life is slipping away, I'm aging every day, but even when I'm grey, I'll still be grey my way.' ("Caress of Steel" CD 1975; Peart)

That's just the tip of the ice burg on how Peart's lyrics can cover all the bases for any subject.

If your female, the male to female ratio at a Rush concert is by far more males. I believe a band member from the Foo Fighters said Rush is 'cock rock,' meaning mostly males like the band. The term 'cock rock' was indeed used to describes Rush's predominately male audiences, but I don't feel like researching who said it. I believe it was said at their rock 'n' roll hall of fame induction, but I do know it was said, my brother Eddie whose not a Rush fan still makes fun of me for liking 'cock rock.'

A book I read back in the mid 90s, solely about Rush was titled "Visions." The book pointed out how talented, professional and precise Rush is. An example of this is when Rush did a live show in Japan and as each song ended, not a sound from the more than 10,000 audience members was emitted, and while Rush played their music, they thought they were bombing big time, but when they finished their set, they got a 20 minute standing ovation. Afterwards the band was told by the Japanese people the reason for no applause during or after any of their songs was because they didn't want to disrupt the band in anyway and that they were mesmerized by the show. Being mesmerized may be wrong, but indeed the Japanese people did not want to disrupt Rush with applause and so forth throughout the show.

Think about all the bands from the 60s and 70s. How many are still extremely relevant or making a serious impact today? The Rolling Stones are still doing it, and the oldest iconic rock 'n' roll band thus far. AC/DC are still kicking gluteus max. Aerosmith is still hanging with these heavy weight bands. ZZ Top are still regulars, though they are doing the smaller venues now with the occasional stadium act. Kiss, The Eagles and The Who among several other vintage rock bands only do reunion tours, but non the less still sell out the big venues. In the grand scheme of musical talent, success and the test of time, Rush has embedded their words and music into the heart of time itself.

"What makes Rush unique is fearlessness, it's the quality of starting a song and not caring what's popular, what's not, there's only one band that sounds like that. What kind of band is Rush? It's Rush!" Gene Simmons (Kiss vocalist / bassist) said. A quote from the rocumentary "Rush Beyond the Lighted Stage."

Malignancy and Mayhem Are As Old As Time Itself

Revelations, one of many books within the King James Bible, the Christian doctrine, chapter 19, verse six clearly states...'for the lord God omnipotent one reigneth.'

God's reign is anything but impressive as far as I'm concerned. He, God, created evil, and from the beginning of human time to present day allows evil to take it's course in the most sadistic forms imaginable. Why an almighty being would create evil and then allow it to dwell and manifest itself for thousands if not millions of years is ludicrous to me.

'Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.' (Revelation 4; 11)

While God and his angels dwell in the luxury of heaven, we humans get the brunt of Satan's wrath.

'And the great dragon was cast out...called the Devil, and Satan...he was cast out into the Earth, and his angels were cast out with him.' (Revelations 12; 19)

God, as stated in the Bible is all powerful and He knows everything.

'For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword...able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart...and there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him. (Hebrews; 4; 12)

The above verse in the King James Bible makes it abundantly clear that God knows everything, sees everything and even knows the future. In case you don't know, the word omnipotent means 'all powerful.' He does nothing, despite having a zenith of power.

Maybe it's just me, but simply reading about a 9-year-old girl getting raped and then set on fire by a 27-year-old man sends chills up my spine to say the very least. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/21/girl-raped-cape-town-set-on-fire_n_4638114.html)

Simply reading the January article; "Girl, 9, Raped And Set On Fire In Cape Town" instilled a rage against evil I can't possibly illustrate in words, yet the almighty God, if He existed knew the little girl would be raped, and not only did He not stop the heinous act, but watched it happen, yet he loves us all. Nefarious acts such as I just mentioned have been going on for dozens if not hundreds of centuries while our loving watchmaker loves us all to death.

Personally if I was omnipotent, evil would not exist, at least not to the extent it does now; babies would not be born only to suffer, there would be no starvation, no wars, murder of innocence, no rich or poor, no rapes, no child abuse, spousal abuse and there would be free higher education, medical and dental for all and I certainly would not watch anyone, especially young children getting raped.

As far as I'm concerned, the King James version of God is completely wrong and is nothing more than intriguing fantasy for the highly imaginative. As someone who believes in science, the whole God, one God, creation of our Earth in seven days is 100 percent balderdash.

OK, if we humans started out as infants as Stephen Hawking wrote in his 2010 book "The Grand Design" we would not exist. It's all faith, faith in science or God(s)?

The very basics of science is gravity. Billions of years of gravitational pull bonded various matters together, and here we all are, amidst the beauty and wrath of mother nature, just a random creation with no rhyme or reason. Death and taxes are the only guarantees in this life.

'Everybody got mixed feelings about the function and the form, everybody got to deviate from the norm,' lyricist and drummer Neil Peart wrote for the 1981 Rush song, "Vital Signs."

"Dumb and Dumber To" Disappoints, but Has its Laugh Out Loud Moments.

Released to the general public on Thursday the 13th, "Dumb and Dumber To" lacks sufficient conflict to really rivet the audience.
It's just my humble opinion, after all Harry, again portrayed by Jeff Daniels needs a kidney transplant and requires the assistant of his best friend Lloyd (Jim Carrey) to locate his daughter whose a sure match for a kidney donation. How does the eminence of death and going on a road trip with your best friend to save your life not constitute a conflict? To be honest, I can't explain, but this conflict falls flat as the story progresses and the laughs are rare.
As we all know from the previews, "Dumb and Dumber To" is a true sequel, leaving off where the original movie concluded 20 years ago, and written by the same screen writers, Bobby and Peter Farrelly.
"Dumb and Dumber To" was average at best for me. If you didn't enjoy the original "Dumb and Dumber" in the 90s, you'll most likely hate the sequel. My big problem with "D & D To" was that the first "Dumb and Dumber" was such a laugh fest containing all the elements needed for a great story; 'character development', 'conflict' and 'resolution'. The character development in the sequel was excellent, and not just with Carrey and Daniels, but the story is weak, unlike the original.
Yes, I comprehend, these movies are satirical, but the first movie was rich in storyline. The first flick had a solid plot. In the original, unsavory rich thieves are trying to get back tens of thousands in cash which Lloyd and Harry have accidentally harnessed and spent, thus their lives are in extreme danger from a seeking thug eager to kill them. Even as I was watching the original for the first time in 1994, I knew Harry and Lloyd would not be killed, but the threat was indeed there, and as I watched the original I realized how clever the Farrelly brothers were for creating and resolving conflicts. The first "Dumb and Dumber," also displayed the powers of love and its control over the male brain.
"Dumb and Dumber To's" storyline ultimately fails and the laughs simply cannot compare to the first movie. I did laugh out loud a few times which is why I'm giving the movie a 2 and 3/4 rating. (D & D one; hands down; a five star rating.)
People who immensely enjoyed the first "Dumb and Dumber," will see the sequel no matter what others say about it. My strong advice is to wait for the Video Droid, Netflix or other video release, it's not worth the money for the theaters.

Tame for Stephen King, Yet His latest, "Revival" is a Refreshing Read.

Bear in mind, for a Stephen King book "Revival" is docile, the F-word is present on occasion, and a 6-year-old boy denounces the Christian son of God, Jesus.

True to its inside jacket, "Revival" released on the 11th day of this month spans into five decades for the focal characters. The slow start to the story drags and teeters on boring, but there is a powerful punch throughout the conflicts, resolutions and untimely deaths.

Jamie Morton is a mere boy in the early 60s when he first meets the new Reverend, Charles Jacobs and his beautiful wife. Reverend Jacobs is down to earth, and a very likable fellow. His faith in the Christian God is strong while he takes over the small towns church and Sunday masses are full again, thanks to him. His love and faith for the white man's God immediately fades away when his 23-year-old wife and 2-year-old son are killed in a car crash.

In the Reverends last sermon before he is banished from the church, explains the flaws and Christianity's ridiculously rigid rules. Hard core Christians for example tell their toddler aged children they will burn in hell for all eternity for simply lying about how their new shoes got wet. Jacob's concludes that death is the only way to know all the answers to everything, especially why evil, pain and suffering have been around for as long as time itself. He also points out, heaven is some sort of sick punch line to life on Earth.

Is it true that some people put aside what brains they have left and put their faith in a gigantic and fraudulent insurance company called religion? At the age of six, Morton no longer has faith in Christian fantasy. By the time he is 14-years-old he has not seen or heard from Reverend Jacobs in eight years and with his parents permission begins touring with his older band mates. "Chrome Roses"

Before the plot thickens, humor is littered throughout this book. Morton, at the age of 14, made a promise to his mom he would not smoke cigarette's, marijuana or drink alcohol. At 16, he is smoking pot, but not partaking in the other two. He remembers the promise he made to his mother, and reason's to himself that he's still batting .666. If you know baseball at all, a .300 batting average is all star material.

As Morton and his brother are getting older, they talk about the importance of getting a prostate exam;

"It's no big deal, just a finger up... You only have to worry if in the middle of the exam, the doctor has both of his hands on your shoulders."

As the story progresses, Morton's sister Claire, beautiful and bright is killed by her abusive husband. After three years of abuse, she finally divorces one of God's creation, and he shots her dead, them himself. When Jamie is in his 30s, he's a heroin addict with a leg full of metal pins from a motor cycle accident and has played guitar in numerous bands. It's in this era of his life that he reunites with Reverend Jacobs again whose got a renewed faith in God.

Like a round boulder on a steep incline, the story really gets rolling as the Reverend is touring the world and actually healing people. He uses shock treatment that is 100 percent different from what was witnessed in the movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." He cures Morton of his 'Madam H' addiction as well as his leg. King claims 'Madam H' is another name for heroin.

Some of the people Jacobs heals, kill themselves by jumping of tall bridges and gluing their mouth and nostrils shut with crazy glue. Shortly after Morton was cured of his Madam H addiction, he wakes up from a sound sleep with a tourniquet tied so tight around his arm, it's white and he is stabbing the arm with a fork as blood from the arm oozes onto his kitchen floor. Jacobs indeed has the power to heal both physical and mental aliments, but the side affects are intense to say the least.

According to "Revival," the book "De Vermis Mysteries" is in the possession of Jacobs, very intriguing since only six copies exist in the entire world. The book is known as a grimoire in the world of occultist. "De Vermis Mysteries" is a book on how to acquire vast power via science, mathematics and some nasty occult rituals.

When a woman named Mary Fay dies, Jacobs wants to bring her back to life to learn exactly what is on the other side. Morton is lured into aiding Jacobs because the reverend threatens to kill his first love, Astrid Soderberg. Morton knows he can do so without even being near her.

I've revealed a lot about the story, but believe me, I left out many vital details of this three and half star book. Death is indeed coming for us all and when it does...

Art of Innocence, A True Foe Against Evil?

One of my nieces

In the beginning was a void of darkness, an era of nothingness, soon came the light. At first the light was pure, breeding brilliant nature, then the creative whims of humans set love and laughter into motion. Human narcissism shrouded love and laughter with greed and judgment, and now only the innocence harbored in the hearts of young children can balance good and evil, a crude balance, but one that often subdues evil enough for love and laughter to be perennial emotions.

Mother night, caress me with your dark embrace. I yearn for the solace of the shadows, yet revel in the sunshine, too weird to live, too rare to die. Hunter S. Thompson / Mark (Izzy) Schurr

Amidst the spheres of nonsense, mind journeys and the thirst for understanding  child and adulthood, there's a lot of thoughts and facts for the brain to explore.

A 151 years ago in 1865, the book "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" ignited imaginations across the universe and harsh accusations against its author Lewis Carroll. Some people, I didn't research the names, claim Carroll was a pedophile. More details will follow on this horrid subject, but for now the sure facts and mind fascinations must be addressed.

The 1951 Disney cartoon "Alice in Wonderland" brought Carroll's words to life. The theme of this story is about children wanting to grow up too fast while adults want to get back some of their childhood. The tea party chapter in Carroll's book details these facts. The Mad Hatter for example is a childish goofy adult while Alice, the young girl is the mature one at the Mad Hatters tea party.

Regardless of the books theme, the vivid use of imagination is a bountiful buffet for the souls appetite toward creativity and entertainment. In the grand scheme of existence, "Alice In Wonderland"  has yet to be born, while at the same moment is as infinite as time itself.

As recently as 2010, acclaimed fantasy movie director Tim Burton hailed Hollywood heavy weights Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, among others to re-recreate Carroll's bombastic book into a major motion picture. Disney screen writer Linda Woolverton sagaciously combined Carroll's book "Jabberwocky" with "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," to thrust  the imagination into a magical maze of wonderment.

Alice wants an escape from her everyday life and gets more than she bargained for when she sails down the deep rabbit hole, and into a dream world sifting on the waters of reality and fantasy. A world where the sleeping brain and the woken consciousness weave into a bizarre basket of fear and joy.

My allure to Carroll's"Alice In Wonderland" is that his main character is a young adorable girl whose adventures are limited only to her imagination. Myself, like Carroll, am fascinated by little girls. For me, it's a non sadistic, nor perverted or twisted fascination to be around little girls.

Two years ago I was reading to a beautiful preschool aged girl at the YMCA as her infectious smile, hugs and yearning for more stories accelerated my desire for all children to laugh and be safe.

An author stated that Carroll, a few years before the release of his very own "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" would hang out with young girls and tell them his made up stories, one of which was his money maker; "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." These little girls, including Alice Liddell, a preachers daughter whose parents were friends and close counter parts with Carroll for several years hounded Carroll for more of 'his' stories and not that of other authors.

One of my many nieces

Was Carroll a pedophile? "The Annotated Alice; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass" has a several page introduction about Carroll's life written by former journalist and mathematician Martin Gardner who passed away in May of 2010. Gardener and the other writer pointed out that "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" was inspired by the real life girl, Alice Liddell. Both authors claim Carroll was not a pedophile, but illustrated the accusations of why he might have been one.

Despite being born into a wealthy family and becoming a highly successful writer, Carroll never married, nor was he a womanizer despite having the money to do so. Liddell, the real life Alice was banned from seeing Carroll by her parents as time went on Gardener said.

Another niece

Gardener said Carroll liked to draw and photograph little girl posing naked with their mothers permission. This is definitely a red flag that he may have been a sick evil pervert, but on the other hand, a way of illustrating that innocence is timeless.

YWCA children being creative

Yes, drawing and taking pictures of nude little girls is completely wrong in my mind, but having a pound of wisdom from reading and research, drawings and taking pictures of naked little girls in England, (Carroll was English) in the 1800's was a projection of innocence.

To this very day, some parents post nude pictures of their little children in the tub or just out of the tub on Facebook, it's an illustration of innocence's to some, while to sadistic others, an evil arousal.

The facts we all have today; Carroll was never arrested for being a child molester, basked in the company of young girls and was never married, despite his riches. Perhaps he was an evil soul exploring his sins on under aged girls. On the other side of the coin, he may have been a true romantic, yet before his success, women never paid him any mind, so as a true romantic assumed the women close to him really were only attracted to his wallet, which may explain his intrigue and wanting to share his time with the innocence of young girls.

Food break and smiles at the YWCA

Currently and in his day, Carroll like the recently deceased pop icon Michael Jackson, may have been a sick sadistic prick or a very loving eccentric.

A wild irony toward romance, I'm too unsuccessful for true love, and even if I were to become wealthy, I'd have the attitude; women didn't want me when I was poor, so if I was rich, I'd believe she loves my wallet and not me. If I do become rich, I want to adopt five adorable girls and raise them to become the first five women to start in the NBA.

Maybe my fantasy girls would even solve the M-theory, a theory that if discovered, would give a definitive answer to the creation of human-kind. Stephen Hawking mentioned the M-theory in his 2010 book, "The Grand Design." It stands for master, miracle or mystery theory, perhaps none of the above. Hawking even said no one, including himself did not know for sure what the 'M' stands for. Hawking said Albert Einstein was working on the M-theory before he died. This theory would prove once and for all if there is or is not a God, Gods, and exactly how we (humans) got here.

One time in 2006, as a teacher at Merryhill preschool, I was sitting at a table with the two girls below and some other kids while drawing and coloring free hand with them.

"You draw like us Mark," the girl in black said to me.

In 2013, while teaching at the YWCA, A Special Place, I was reading a book to the below pictured little girl. The book was about jobs and careers, and focused on what people do when they grow-up. The book had many pictures of doctors, lawyers, chefs, janitors and many more uniformed adults in their work attire.

"What do you wanna be when you grow-up?,"  this 5-year-old girl said to me after I read her the book.

I replied a writer, and she asked what that was. I said a writer is someone who makes up the stories I read to her and the other kids.

"I wanna do that," she said.

The Laughing Loser

That's me, the happy failure, and no, this blog is by no means a boo-hoo-hoo I hate my life and want to die and feel sorry for myself drivel scribble.

While the following may be drivel, I'm certainly not down on myself, but non the less, a loser. I consider myself a failure because I never had the talent to play center field for the Oakland Athletics, will never be a journalist for the New York Times, Oakland Tribune, Cloverdale Reveille, a photographer for Playboy Magazine or Sports Illustrated, never write a best selling novel, nor star in a Broadway play. I'll never make the huge bucks, so I will never channel massive amounts of money into my local educational system and my income is too low for a man my age to land a decent women;

'Love and romance? Not a change with my current finance.'

Above picture at Kaumana Caves Hawaii this month with my Cloverdale family.

I love my new job, even though janitorial work is not nearly challenging enough for my creative mind, but I'm not smart enough for success or to work in a field I truly love working in; that old chest nut, didn't pursue journalism immediately out of high school, too much of a head case to work full time with children, blah, blah, ouu laa laa, life goes on.

Hawaiian nature with my 'C' town crew.

I still reminisce of the early part of this century when I was a preschool teacher for the YWCA, A Children's Place from July 2000-September, 2004. Taking pictures of the children engaged in various activities and play, then using those pictures to make year books for the children going off to kindergarten was one of my favorite aspects of being a preschool teacher. I also learned I'd have been a horrible father while teaching preschool.

My back yard for over a week earlier this month.

This is the worst island (the big island) according to some. Hmm...

When your on the same IQ level as preschoolers, they bask in your presence, but they don't listen to necessary direction, hence it's hard to teach even the simple things such as color and shape recognition and writing their own names. Now I just volunteer with children once a week at the YMCA which is very rewarding and fun for me, especially reading to the little ones.

When I worked at A Children's Place I was living with and dating a woman who had three children, including her youngest child Alonda who was 3-years-old at the time. Alonda was one of the children enrolled in A Children's Place and in my group, The Brown Bears, hence, that's how Debby and I met. Other parents and teachers at A Children's Place enjoyed my presence perhaps because I was 'quote, unquote' a normal human being with a fiancée in touch with life in the land of the loving.

Fast forward to now, Debby and I remain friends, while the insane powers that be took 17-year-old Alondra's life in January. Proof there is no divine plan, gravity through billions of years randomly pulled various matters together, and here we all are, living and dying just because...

The art of nature in Hawaii.

I've learned to embrace the positives in life; a few fantastic friends who embrace me like my unobtrusive companions such as Irene (my Saturn) and Rush music / lyrics. I have a full time job with awesome benefits. I honestly thought I'd never travel anywhere my entire life because of a lack of income. Employment with a company that issues Paid Time Off, currently 18 days a year, and will top out at 33 days yearly. If I play my cards right, I can travel annually for the rest of my life utilizing my PTO hours, and continue to share occasional evenings with a drink and friend(s).

Blogging and photography are valuable assets to my sanity and joy as well as barbeques and ball games.

Soft Sin, Murder and Mystery of the 1940s Falls Flat in the Novel "The Black-Eyed Blonde."

The resurrection of 30s and 40s detective Philip Marlowe in this year's novel is a maze of misery.

It's easy to understand why best selling author Benjamin Black did not have a best seller in his latest book, "The Black-Eyed Blonde." Black futility tries to bring back the heralded detective created by Raymond Chandler when black and white movies ruled the big screen of dark theaters across the globe.

Fictional private dick, Philip Marlowe was brilliantly brought to life by Humphrey Bogart in at least two films; "The Maltese Falcon," (1941) and "The Big Sleep." (1946). Marlowe, the private detective first emerged in Chandler's 1939 novel, "The Big Sleep."

A young woman's enticing beauty, sexual desires and conquests blended into a martini complete with deception, mystery, murder and money are ingredients for a phenomenal story, yet "The Black-Eyed Blonde" is a barrage of boring.

The non use of profanity and the PG way the book was written is fine, but heavy adult material needs some intrigue, a blast of real sin, a taste of heart felt emotions conflicting with harsh realities and decisions embedded in a sound mind.

The story begins when Marlowe is in his office when a foxy well dressed blonde woman comes into his office, Mrs. Cavendish offering big money to locate her lover, Nico Peterson. Peterson was the man she was cheating on her husband with. Cavendish withholds a lot of useful information to Marlowe and a lot of plot twists come about. All the plot twist lead to an uninteresting tale of terrible.

By the time its found out love was an illusion, the big bucks weren't there and Marlowe will live to work another case, so what. "The Black-Eyed Blonde" was less interesting than a tag on the collar of T-shirt, as captivating as toe nail clippings and as much fun to read as an electric companies odometer.

The movie "The Big Sleep" with Bogart (detective Marlowe) and Lauren Bacall defined 'cool.' Marlowe's candor in the "Maltese Falcon" was priceless especially when he's offered $100.00 (serious cash in 1941) for a retaining fee, and his client says, "you will take, say $100.00? Marlowe reaches into the mans wallet, takes $200.00 dollars and replies, " I will take say $200.00. My point is that if your going to resurrect a classic character, make sure the character stays true to there natural form and charm and not completely pulverize the character and transform it from funny and entertaining to drab and dull.

The only reason I gave this horrible read even one star was because of the way Marlowe described the cigarette woman working at the movie theater; 'She was a nice looking girl serving cigarettes and candy dressed in a chambermaids out fit, complete with the short shirt. I got the image of Bogart's cool sounding voice intoning those words. The book also ripped on my home town of Santa Rosa which also helped up its rating for me.

The city of Santa Rosa is not friendly or welcoming to the entertainment industry. At least when it comes to horror movies, just read the credits to the movie "Scream;" And no thanks to the City of Santa Rosa...

Sixties, 70s and 90s Music Acquired From the Library Ease the Ears

The last three CD's I recently checked out enhanced my driving experience immensely with blistering sounds engulfed in melodically structured vocals, instrumentals and great writing.

"Black Rain" by rock 'n' roll icon Ozzy Osbourne didn't disappoint. If not a free check-out, I would have never listened to this metal mastery of marvelous. This is not a mental album, but it's labeled as such. "Black Rain" is a hard rock album geared toward true rock 'n' roll, meant to provoke individual thoughts, enlighten its listeners to the injustice of government and the evils of power and war.

The first three songs on "Black Rain" pelt the ears with raucous rhythms while guitarist Zakk Wylde's leads construct the chaos into gripping music. Osbourne co-wrote all ten songs on the CD with Wylde and producer Kevin Churko.

"Not Going Away," the first song not only stays true to hard rock, but is Osbourne saying he's here to stay, continue touring and making more music. Osbourne is nothing like his character portrayed in his sitcom from 2002-2005. He speaks in clear sentences and his mind is keen. Great actor indeed.

"I Don't Wanna Stop," the second song is even harder sounding then the first, pleasantly so and I love the lyric, ' too many religions, only one God...' Religion is first and foremost a business and business is all about money. Naturally Christians and other denominations get upset, even vicious when other churches cut into their profits. Osbourne has arguably imbibed in every drug known and unknown to human kind, but he is one soulful writer, and his lyrics are intellectually sound.

"Black Rain," the title track is a fantastic anti war song.

...a flag drape over a coffin, another soldier is dead...we've crossed too many borders, military suicide, war, killing sons and daughters, I watch the body count rise, why are the children all marching in the desert to die? (Osbourne, Wylde, Churko)

Those lyrics alone boosted the rating of "Black Rain" above three stars.

The fourth song "Lay Your World On Me," is a love ballad, sagaciously written.

...give me your pain, give me your anger, I can take the weight...lay your world on me...we all fall and lose our faith in who we really are...the choice is for us to make it together. (Osbourne, Wylde, Churko)

"The Almighty Dollar" is the sad harsh reality of our lives.

...Rape, steal and murder...God bless the almighty dollar...you kept us blind and mislead...chained to industrial need... The almighty dollar governs the world into upheaval of greed, injustice and the over all manipulation of the masses. Osbourne is enlighten, and he shares his thoughts extremely well.

"Silver" is the heaviest tune on the disc which only fans of heavy mental and acid rock could appreciate. No matter how you bake the cookie, 2007's "Black Rain" is a must listen for all hard rock 'n' fans; 3 and half stars easy.

1993's "Siamese Dream," the second album by the Smashing Pumpkins is one of the best hard rock albums of all time, even if only three of the 13 songs are top notch. The first three songs on the disc captivate the hard rock ear with pulverizing guitars by Billy Corgan and James Iha punctuated by the heavy drumming of Jimmy Chamberlin. Progressive rock guides metal into a blissful realm of musical mischief.

"Today," the third song may be a little too heavy for a wedding march, but I could see it working. As the father is walking the soon to be bride down the isle of mystery, the lyrics in the song encased in the heavy guitar lead bleed bliss; 'Today is the greatest day I've ever known...I wanted more than life could ever grant me...

"Death Proof" is the sound track to a Quentin Tarantino movie with the same name. Much of the music on this disc is balefully bizarre. 1995's "Chick Habit" by April March harnesses a true 60s hip sound sung wonderfully by March. She hits the high notes with aplomb and delivers the verse 'your gonna need a heap of glue when they all catch up with you and they hack you up two... Fitting words for a Quentin Tarantino flick.

"Jeepster," "Baby it's You" and "Down to Mexico by the Coasters are the most catchy songs on this sound track. British band T. Rex's 1971 "Jeepster" has a theme as old as time itself; love and lust. ...your so sweet, your so fine, I want you all and everything, just be mine... "Jeepster's" beat may get you off your seat and dancing.

"Baby it's You" preformed by Smith in 1969 is another upbeat song about yearning for that special someone. 1956's "Down to Mexico" withstands the ultimate test of time sure to get most heads bobbin as the cool riffs in the tune imbibe the ears with joy.

"It's So Easy" by Willy Deville is a raucous song fitting for the final action scene in "Death Proof." The worst things about these three CD's was having to return them to the library. Lovers of hard rock and ones who enjoy old school music should embrace these albums while fans of modern day mainstream would most likely hate real instruments beget from these CD's. Bottom line, the local library is an awesome source for entertainment and knowledge.

Jonas Favela; His Words Forschurr

It is really frightening to see how many people do not know how to think or question anything. Just because some "Expert" or "Authority" gives them information on the TV or print media ...it has to be true . That just shows how well the worship of Authority has been ingrained in the collective consciousness of the people...The mind control in this country is so pervasive... that it really sometimes scares the hell out of me.

One of the things that I have noticed and it appears to be universal is this idea of "Belief" ...Belief is not synonyms with reality or Truth....Most people can not distinguish this simple fact .

Recently, I was in a debate with someone that appears to be stuck in the "authority" paradigm. When I confronted this individual with some facts that they did not "believe" in they got personal and emotional/insulting. When I pressed this issue by asking pertinent questions...silence.

This interaction just solidified what I have come to learn over the past few years.

It just proves that what has been taken out of our society is a methodology of disseminating information . And if you think about it ...the powers at be do not want a populace able to think critically and disseminate information in an coherent fashion.

What they have created is a culture based on stimulus/emotional response with out thinking....This is not by accident .

One of the ways that "they" have done this is by occulting history ….If a people do not know their own history ...they become incoherent and easily controlled . Couple that with the Prussian Educational system...and constant stimulus by Hollywood, TV, sports etc... You get what we have right now, a completely incoherent, easily manipulated addicted to entrainment society ….

Extremely well articulated Mr. Favela. In my opinion some, too many people want every answer in a neat tidy box. For every question, thought, idea or believe, these blinded souls want one definitive answer for everything while actually having faith in the government and an ancient book. Math is the only subject in the world with only one answer for each of its questions or problems. I.E, no matter what part of the universe one dwells in, two plus two is always four.

We're all addicted to sports and entertainment, including myself, so we all embrace ignorance while countless Middle Eastern Women, children and civilian men who have nothing to do with terror are being blown up daily by U.S. drones.

"The Oakland Athletics Magic Number to Clinch the Playoffs is one Game," was probably on the front page of the Oakland Tribune this morning. Mass media has always shrouded the general public. In the wild west days, U.S. military men routinely mass murdered Native American women and children. The beautiful women were gang raped before they were slaughtered, and the healthy young men were enslaved. The news papers back then reported how brave U.S. soldiers fought and killed savage Native American warriors who were posing a threat to the white man. Threatening our profits indeed.

Everything is a conspiracy. All world leaders are in the pockets of the five, maybe six percent of the major businesses who run the world, such a Big Oil and General Mills. Make no mistakes people, money is the 'Almighty,' with absolutely no compassion, soul and fueled solely on greed and more power...

Government

Liquid lunacy fills the goblet of greed and wets the lips of the unethical

which bleeds across the world. Harbingers of havoc, apprentices of

apathy, creators of chaos, and distributors of destruction. Soul destroyers

and mindless material builders. Thrust into there lies and bred to consume.
