"Resident Evil," A Modern Moron Movie Review

Only the writers of "Resident Evil" could summon such a marvelous mixture of zombie cliches and thrust stark originality into the infancy of a zombie apocalypse. 

In this instalment, the Umbrella Corporation has caused a violent walking and running dead outbreak with over the top zombie mutations, (surprise) but it works well in the brand new "Resident Evil."  

A lackadaisical medical courier is tasked to deliver the antidote for zombieism to a Raccoon City medical facility unknown to himself. He thinks he's simply delivering a human organ to a medical patient in need. Does this average Joe become a hero, or is the human race destined for a world wide walking dead seizing of the Earth? 

A lot of the graphic gore caters to children who watch these flicks and that's OK with me. This movie focuses more on the suspense of keeping yourself alive and avoid zombie infection rather than the actually fighting and killing them, or becoming one yourself.     

The close ups and Dolby Atmos sound while seated in A 5 auditorium two was an amazing choice on my part to view this flick. Tip of the day, Premium Format in auditoriums one or two at Airport Stadium 12 is a phenomenal way watch movies. 

Three and a half stars easy for the new "Resident Evil."

Speak Truth, It's a Good Thing to Be Hated For

I'll never have anything I really want. For starters, I want every child to be safe. The gods clearly dropped the ball on that one. The Christian god has limitless power according to the Bible, yet he allows children to suffer. Some are birthed into wars, or go through physical and or mental abuse. Neil Peart summed it up best; "Why are little ones born only to suffer? 

Another thing I want with extreme passion is no bombs and no wars. The human race is laden with educated savages who elect egotistical rich old white men with no morals or ethics. On February 28, Comb over Caligula launched his unprovoked, unjust and illigal war against Iran. Upon doing so, Shajareh Tauyyebeh elementary school in Iran was bombed, killing more than a 150 civilians including more than a 120 children, yet their terrorists according to the lies of our government. In America's defense, all other nations with massive amounts of power and money commit mass murder on a daily basis too. 

"Bombing is fun." Trump said, on February 28 or March 1. 

Benjamin Netanyahu is another serial criminal who should be imprisoned for life. His sadistic war, convintently called a conflict in Gaza has gotten more than 21,600 child killed and at least 44,000 more children injured since October of 2023, yet the Palestine government is the one deemed to be in the wrong. Baleful billionaires and their bombs only inflict doubt and hate for all politics. 

Until the entire human race renounces all use of force, only then will it have fully evolved, the Silver Surfer said. Yes, I know he's a fictional character, but those words will resonate with me for my entire life. Not a single world leader is striving for peace, why?  

Another thing I'm hated for, or much disliked is my opinions on the racism Trump caters too and insights. Remember January 6, 2021? Yes, most of the people were indeed peaceful, but the ones who weren't went above and beyond the law, assaulting federal police officers, killing at least four people, vandalizing and stealing government property and spreading their feces all over the place. The orange fascist pardoned 100 percent of these people. More than 93 percent of the people on January 6 were white and the Confederate flag was paraded around.

In the 1980s, I lived in Tennessee for four years and it was not unusual to see a confederate flag on various cars and trucks or in peoples yards. During my time in Tennessee I never saw a single black person or anyone who wasn't white dawning a Confederate flag on their transportation or yard.  

Cults such as the QAnon and racist extremist groups support Trump, it's that simple. 

I agree with the far right philosophy that the democrats are dimwitted and wishy washy. I voted for Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris simply because of who their opponent was. I want the Forward Party.

The Forward Party is what America needs, read any book by Andrew Yang or listen to his podcasts, he's my political god. Yang's philosophy has facts on how to reduce suicides and cut gun deaths down by around 60 percent in America. How? Read his books. Less work and more money for us pay check to pay check Americans. How? Read his books or listen to the man. Incidentally well over 60 percent of the working class is living pay check to pay check. How is this a great economy? I've personally spoken to Andrew Yang twice. The best $35.00 I've ever spent on politics.

Bravo to Bill Maher for his May episode condemning political violence. Once upon a time I was hoping someone or some group would assassinate America's king, but I'm an adult now, believe it or not. I don't want Trump murdered, just out of politics forever and his entire bloodline, he's a political disease. 

Societies decline in critical thinking is caused by many things, a lame educational system, I.e., America isn't even a top 30 nation in education. Social media, the media messiah is another culprit feeding stupid and dangerous minds who feed off one dimensional solutions and kill people like Charlie Kirk and Renee Good.  

Trump's bill banning male athletes from playing female sports is fantastic and that idiot swimmer, Lia Thomas was stripped of all his swimming records and that is a very good thing. If you're still reading, don't say I praised Trump on something, shhs.

"Pre-Code Essentials..." A Modern Moron Book Review

Many ladies during the Pre-Code era mirrored the opulence of delicious deceits and possessed a hypersexualized allure. (Photo of Clara Bow in 1932s "Call Her Savage)

The greatest weapon a woman has is a man's imagination. Read this book if you want to know which 1934 movie spawned this line and was laced with sexual yearning and unrestrained eroticism. 

Joan Blondell, my favorite Pre-Code babe mirrored dalliances in deceit. Her risque dialogue and lascivious lingerie lead to the over use of the censor board. Blondell's movies were brazen and uproarious, toying with the boundaries of decency. "Three on a Match" is laden with debauchery, including illicit sex, kidnapping and depraved thrills fueled by excessive drinking and hard drug use. This 1932 flick contains the debilitating vices and open sexuality in today's cinema. It's just implied and not in your face like our current films. 

This book details 50 flicks made between 1930-1934 with sagacious insight. As stated in "Pre-Code Essentials Must See Cinema from Hollywood's Untamed Era 1930-1934," it's perfect for Pre-Code novices and film aficionados. Turns out, I'm not the expert I thought I was in this era in Hollywood. I personally own more than 100 of these movies and if I owned 80 percent more of these films, I'd still be well short of 100 percent. According to this book, at least 1500 Pre-Code movies were made in its four year period. 

Women like Joan Blondell, Ginger Rodgers, Barbara Stanwyck, Clara Bow, Mae West and Claudette Colbert summoned delicious desires in cinema and ignited insane censorship that didn't completely end until the late 1960s when our current movie rating system was implemented.  

Clara Bow entered the movies in the early 1920s and prior to her, sexuality for women in movies was nonexistent, the B.C. era in Hollywood; films Before Clara. (Bow) By 1927 the extravaganza of sexual liaisons was in full force. Many claim the Pre-Code era began in 1927. Regardless, strick rules were written years before 1930 on how much skin the ladies were allowed to show in mainstream films and what type of dialogue and story-lines were considered absolute taboo. These written laws took hold in July of 1935, officially ending the Pre-Code era. The far righties and religious zealots went way over board in hindering artistic freedom and violating the Constitution of free speech. Betty Boop was no longer showing her garter belt in 1935.

"Sign of the Cross," pictured above sent the censor board into an uproar with suggestions of beastiality and other unfiltered depictions of ancient Rome, imbued with biblical subjects of vice and grandeur. 

The extravaganza of sexual liaisons wasn't all that aroused the attention of the censors. Criticism of the government and World War I were also showcased in the Pre-Code era. "All Quiet on the Western Front"  illustrated the inhumane horrors of war and its stark violence. 

Outlaws were glorified in such movies as "Public Enemy," "Scar Face," and "Night Nurse," all reviewed with sagacious aplomb in this book. Four and a half stars easy for this 2025 gem of a book. 

Bravo to the authors Kim Luperi and Danny Reid for writing about movies only I seem to like.
