Malignancy and Mayhem Are As Old As Time Itself

Revelations, one of many books within the King James Bible, the Christian doctrine, chapter 19, verse six clearly states...'for the lord God omnipotent one reigneth.'

God's reign is anything but impressive as far as I'm concerned. He, God, created evil, and from the beginning of human time to present day allows evil to take it's course in the most sadistic forms imaginable. Why an almighty being would create evil and then allow it to dwell and manifest itself for thousands if not millions of years is ludicrous to me.

'Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.' (Revelation 4; 11)

While God and his angels dwell in the luxury of heaven, we humans get the brunt of Satan's wrath.

'And the great dragon was cast out...called the Devil, and Satan...he was cast out into the Earth, and his angels were cast out with him.' (Revelations 12; 19)

God, as stated in the Bible is all powerful and He knows everything.

'For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword...able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart...and there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him. (Hebrews; 4; 12)

The above verse in the King James Bible makes it abundantly clear that God knows everything, sees everything and even knows the future. In case you don't know, the word omnipotent means 'all powerful.' He does nothing, despite having a zenith of power.

Maybe it's just me, but simply reading about a 9-year-old girl getting raped and then set on fire by a 27-year-old man sends chills up my spine to say the very least. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/21/girl-raped-cape-town-set-on-fire_n_4638114.html)

Simply reading the January article; "Girl, 9, Raped And Set On Fire In Cape Town" instilled a rage against evil I can't possibly illustrate in words, yet the almighty God, if He existed knew the little girl would be raped, and not only did He not stop the heinous act, but watched it happen, yet he loves us all. Nefarious acts such as I just mentioned have been going on for dozens if not hundreds of centuries while our loving watchmaker loves us all to death.

Personally if I was omnipotent, evil would not exist, at least not to the extent it does now; babies would not be born only to suffer, there would be no starvation, no wars, murder of innocence, no rich or poor, no rapes, no child abuse, spousal abuse and there would be free higher education, medical and dental for all and I certainly would not watch anyone, especially young children getting raped.

As far as I'm concerned, the King James version of God is completely wrong and is nothing more than intriguing fantasy for the highly imaginative. As someone who believes in science, the whole God, one God, creation of our Earth in seven days is 100 percent balderdash.

OK, if we humans started out as infants as Stephen Hawking wrote in his 2010 book "The Grand Design" we would not exist. It's all faith, faith in science or God(s)?

The very basics of science is gravity. Billions of years of gravitational pull bonded various matters together, and here we all are, amidst the beauty and wrath of mother nature, just a random creation with no rhyme or reason. Death and taxes are the only guarantees in this life.

'Everybody got mixed feelings about the function and the form, everybody got to deviate from the norm,' lyricist and drummer Neil Peart wrote for the 1981 Rush song, "Vital Signs."
