"Independence Day Resurgence," a 20-Year-Old Sequel Worthy of Its Predecessor?

A ridiculous story line and futile attempt at humor coupled with extreme predictability prompted the question, why make such a horrible movie?

In 1976, when the first "Star Wars" movie set the pace for film making special effects, it was an extremely cool art form in motion pictures, but more then four decades later, a movie with a stupid story line, boring acting and average special effects set the pace for one of the worst movies ever made.

Twenty years ago, the aliens that almost wiped out the human race were all but destroyed, and now the mother ship is back and ready for vengeance. If for a second, you think the aliens might win, your blind to this mundane movie. Indeed, I've seen better film on teeth.

Zero stars for this lame flick. The lack luster attempt at humor may have been enjoyable to the average 3-year-old, but the reality was, the poor jokes were as entertaining as dead flies in a dumpster.

To make matters worse, it's set up for a third movie which I can already say, I'll walk out on the third movie on an airplane without a parachute.

If your sense of humor is non existent and you know the outcome of the movie an hour before it end's and still enjoy special effects that have been around for decades, this is the flick for you, but if you prefer a solid plot and meaningful dialogue, "Independence Day Resurgence" is not for you. The DVD makes for a great mini frisbee, the only good thing about this movie.
